I think I have a new obsession. Zentangles  its a type of doodling using a step by step process to create complicated looking 'tangles' combined together to create a 'zentangle'  only using a simple pen, and no erasing.  the step by step, and black and white nature is supposed to be very meditative and calming, hence the 'zen'. I have gone through pages and pages in my sketchbook already and its only been abut a week and a half.  I find them so fun, and yes, meditative.  I know it sounds kinda woo,  but making these drawings really is so meditative and relaxing.  and the result is always so nifty. i want to paint (water color) every time i pass my my supplies, which is multiple times a day, i want to grab them up and paint, paint, paint. but i have nothing that makes me want to paint it. i sit here, and have no inspiration for what to paint. i tried free form, just letting the brush go as it may, and i felt nothing, was bored, and didn't really like the result. if i just pick a random subject i rush it or do a crap job, feel bored and uninspired and it comes out like crap. i am so frustrated. i think it wold be better if i could get out and go for a hike or something, but its so damned cold and snowy and well, winter. i've brow

well, it seems that i got myself pregnant, and had a baby! yep, little TW was born Dec 18 2009,  and let met tell you, morning sickness was a bitch.  and, well, taking care of a baby can take a lot outta a girl, even with the worlds best husband, so i really haven't had a lot of time for my art.  but don't worry, i'm getting back into it, and while i won't be as prolific as i was before,  expect to see more from me in the future! woo hoo!
